I went to the Philly Auto show in February and got into an interesting conversation with the Nissan representative there. The new Z was not there, but he was explaining how he had been in the car and we talked about differences with the final production vehicles. My buddy is planning to purchase a 350z and the rep. explained to him that the NA 350z could keep up with a stock 300zx(which was a major concern for him). We then asked about the turbo possibility...He indicated that there were grumblings from Nissan HQ that there would most likely be a turbo version offered during the 2nd or 3rd production year. I'm not sure if things have changed, but the rep. seemed well informed and pretty sure about the turbo option. This is not meant to contradict what SeedyRom said, just sharing what I heard.
